Norcos are hydrocodone and acetaminophen, just like vicodin. The only differences are the amount of each drug in the different pills. SWIY's friend is incorrect, no pill has 1000 mg of hydrocodone, which SWIY has already realized. Norcos usually contain 10 mg hydrocodone, and 325 or 500 mg of acetaminophen. So they're more or less equivalent to a 10 mg vicodin, SWIY is right!

Yes, as SWIforthesevenlakes said, Norcos are basically Vikodin. These two names are just brands for hydrocodone/apap pills. SWIY's friend probably thought the Hydrocodone/Apap x/1000 mg were 1000 mgs of just hydrocodone. Just for SWIY's info, when the pill bottle reads Hydrocodone/Apap 5/500 mg, it means there are 5 mg of Hydrocodone and 500 mg of Aceteminophen. These brands and generic forms of hydro/apap pills can contain different amounts of both hydrocodone and acetaminophen (apap, tylonol, paracetemol sp?) i.e. Hydrocodone/Apap 2.5/325, 5/325, 5/500, 7.5/325, 10/1000, 5/750, 7.5/500, 10/325, etc....

Vicodin/Hydrcodone = 5/500 which means 5mg hydrcodone and 500mg of acetaminophin

Vicodin ES = 7.5/750 which means 7.5mg hydro and 750mg of acetaminophin.

Norco = 10/325 which means 10mg hydro and only 325mg of aceta. Because of the lower Acetaminophen content, Norco's are usualy the best and safest choice when using "vicodin" recreationally. CWE is recomended still if swiy get to a tolorance of needing multiple pills.
