ritalin IR extraction method agreement

Ritalin is loved by many and hated by others. SWIM is a lover and loves to snort it but he realizes the amount of shit he takes throught his nostrils. You have to size the size ofthe pills and the amount of the active component.

There isn't much information about extraction methods, I UTMSE and got some users using alcohol and others doing a symply water-cotton filtered extraction.

SWIM wants to know which of these methods is the best and the answer could be the fillers in ritalin pills. Anyone know them?

Methylphenidate HCL is soluble in water and alcohol so doing double extraction method should not result in methylphenidate loss right??

SWIM isn't completely shure of it, but first dissolving the pills in the non-polare one is later going to use for the acid-base extraction.
After that, one proceeds to do a normal acid-base extraction, to obtain ultra pure methylfenidate hcl crystals(if one uses hcl)

Yes it works.
SWIM tried an extraction with alcohol today on a 10mg IR tablet.
He let the alcohol evaporate but he is sure there was allot more left the 10mg.

He also did a water extraction, but he didn't let the water evaporate, but this also works. He just put it in a nasal spray and it worked wonderfull.

He also thinks that there was more left in the filter with the water extraction than with the alcohol. He used pure isopropyl.
