did i nearly die, or am i overreacting? good story.

this is something that happened to a friend last year, and they have still taken e's about once a month since then. this was a year ago, so have done them about 10 times since then and no problems.

friday night - they went out and done a 2 pills with friends, got drunk, went to a nightclub in their local city (for arguments sake lets say munich in germany). met some people, talked rubbish and generally had a great night. that night, got in about 4 am and slept till 7am then went to work. so only had abotu 3 hours sleep. work was very easy, they worked in a bank and it was sat so no customers, and at 5pm went home after just surfing the net all day. didn't eat much - had a roll that they didnt feel like eating, and probably didn't drink too much in the way of fluids either.

was going out again that evening (sat). got home, didn't have any dinner. had a bit of a stress on trying to get pills for that night. managed to get some - now this night was a bit different as just met a girl and had been on a few dates. it was her birthday tonight so swim was going out with her and her mates. swim didn't know anyone else - hence the pills (swim now knows e is only good in right surroundings!). swim had to travel to berlin on the train for the night out, a 1.5 hour journey. on the train, they drunk four cans of beer to get drunk to get into things, to losen up to take the pills. when they pulled into berlin central station they took 1 pill although was not drunk whatsoever (probably cos hungover). made way to meeting place to meet the girl and all her friends who they never met. it was freezing out as february.

got to the first club - swim didn't feel anything. now (i think this is very relevant) the first club was an 'ice bar' which means you go in for 45 mins into a bar made of ice (literally) they put on a big heavy jacket on and hat and gloves, and shut the door behind you (think of a big freezer). swim thinks "hmm, went out last night, nothing to eat today, dont know any of these people, locked in a big freezer, just done a pill = not feeling good about this). tried to push all negative thoughts out of their head, looked at the drinks menu.

BANG - swim feels themselves rolling around inside their own head, blackness, conscience is a luxury, swim knows they are in trouble but shirks away from the responsiblity danger. next minute they are in an unknown room stirpped to their t shirt and with a gang of people peering over them.

that was the only way swim could describe their experience. what really happened is as followed;

swim walked towards the bar before their entire body collapse under its own weight and crashed to the floor, two bouncers tried to pick swim up under swims arms before swim crashed back down to the ground and was dragged onto a low seat. swim fell off the back of this and was dragged out the ice bar, went into a private (normal temperature) area and collapsed again, was dragged up onto a chair before coming back to full conscience with a BANG. swim was white, then went bright red and sweating profusely. asked all clothes to be taken off and given space.

so, do you think they were run down from the night before and the combo of two nights in a row and no food and drink + stress of meeting all new people done it..............or was it because of the mdma/pills?

one thing to take into account - the pills were not bad. have had some from that batch before and after and so have many many others. even the pills that were not taken that night - were taken at a later date. one hour after the ordeal, swim was absolutely fine.

this whole tale spells out in crystal tones some things not to do while on e or doing e, but swim is more experienced now and does not make same mistakes.

The only thing I can think is that it would be another example of why people need to test their pills BEFORE they ingest them. Because no test was done, there can be no way to say what was going on in this situation. The symptomology rather resembles PMA. But it could have been a bad reaction to MDMA. We'll never know. Anything else is sheer speculation.

i don't know, like i say the rest of the batch were 100% fine. i think it was either a bit of a panic attack and or faint..........or a bad reaction. i think it might have been a case of unsound mind = bad physical reaction.

but as you say its all speculation.

How do you know this?
Did you or SWIY actually test the pills?
If SWIY is taking mdma, they should certainly at least read about what PMA is... as it is FAR more toxic and deadly than ecstasy.

From what you describe in your story, it sounds like SWIY was a victim of self inflicted dehydration.

First, SWIY took mdma which is a stimulant and many recommend drinking plenty of fluids.
Second, drinking alcohol can severely dehydrate one and the combination of the two is not recommended for just this reason. Stimulants + alcohol cause one to become extremely dehydrated... and you also mentioned that SWIY didn't eat or drink much which, I think, left him very dehydrated & somewhat malnourished.
Third, very little sleep and again, little to eat or drink.
Fourth, this all took place in February which tends to be a very dry month. Most moisture is frozen in the ice & snow and indoors, forced hot air heating can make this seem worse. (I really don't know how much of a factor this was but my skin get extremely dry in the winter).

And finally, the next day, without eating or drinking much, SWIY combined alcohol & mdma AGAIN.

Severe dehydration is my guess.

Be careful out there and treat your SWIM's as if they were living breathing beings who need food water and sleep.

seems to me like the no eating could be a factor. SWIM has gone 2-3 days with a very low appetite and collapsed off very fine MJ.
