Difference betwen amphetamine and methampetamine?

What difference in effects is there betwen amphetamin and methamphetamin??


How does one tell the difference betwen the two? Amphetamine salts are usualy a fine white poweder while meth is tiny crystals right??

well the technical difference is that meth has a methyl group attached to the basic amphetamine molecule. This makes it more fat soluble and thus i guess it penetrates tissues easier.



The effects of meth are much stronger than regular speed. Also when you get meth I'm pretty sure that's also a salt (methamphetamine HCL) since meth freebase is an oil...AND you can get powdered meth since you powder it anyway if you wanna snort it, obviously it's better to get crystals to be sure of the purity. You run a much higher risk of it being cut when you buy powder.

But what is the difference in effect? From what I understand meth is hugely popular in the states while regular amphetamin is the most popular in europe.


But is there any real difference in effects betwen the 2 except meth is stronger so less is needed?? I have heard stuff like amphetamin gives a calmer come down from the high(I have never been the slighest depressed when coming down, the oposit it feels damn good)but has a less intense and euphoric high?


I am assuming its amphetamin I have used and not meth but then again I cant be sure

the higher you go the harder you gonna fall, so yes, regular speed has a softer comedown. basically with meth its all amplified, everything, the good and the bad.
