Want to lower my heartrate...any suggestions?
So swim took 50 mg Adderall at 12 pm today and also took 500mg caffine. It is now one in the morning and his heartrate is still over 100. He thinks it went down but then has come back up. (at least he thought he crushed those extended release beads.) Swim would like to get back to normal before he goes to sleep. Other then that swim has no symptoms. Swim is a fair newb when it comes to this...taken it 15+ times, but with small doses, slowly increasing. But yea,.....swim is an althlete and usually has low resting heartrate. Swim is on break from college and in his parents house. He has taken two percocet and had a little bit of alcohol, but these seemed to haven not worked. He has no benzos or anything. Are there any random things around the house that will act as depressants?

Re: Want to lower my heartrate...any suggestions?
Hi
From what i;ve read on these forums - time and nothing else is the best thing for you. To use a chemical 'downer' will put too much pressure on your heart, maybe leading to a serious heart problem lots and lots of water to flush out toxins and try not to panic - SWIY's heart rate is probably not as fast as you think - but when someone starts to worry - heartrate goes up - try laying down and think about your heart slowing naturally, breathe gently and try to calm your mind... I know its probably not what u wanted to hear, but i cant think of anything else that will help u.. |

Re: Want to lower my heartrate...any suggestions?
bump to what swi(smutty) said, but that is something that comes with such a dose of stimulants.
if swiy cant find a good downer then try diphenhydramine, or just deal with it. |

yea it all ended up fine.....I was used to accelerated heartrate when the drug was "in effect," but this seemed so far afterwards I had to wonder what was up. Thanks for the help!

Re: Want to lower my heartrate...any suggestions?
For future reference, keep kratom in mind. It can be bought at many headshops or online and is brewed into a tea. It's a natural sedative that doesn't present the same risks as benzos, downers etc. Perhaps a low THC strain of weed might also work, one that doesn't raise the heartbeat by much but produces a more 'stoned' effect more likely caused by other cannabinoids such as CBN or CBD.
