Weed arrested for marijuana possession



BETHEL -- Two teens from Cheshire were arrested on drug charges Sunday. According to a statement sent by Bethel police this morning, officers stopped a car that was driving erratically on Route 6 at about 9:20 p.m. Officers then brought in a canine unit and searched the car. Police said they found marijuana and drug paraphernalia in the car. Gregory Weed, 18, was charged with driving under the influence, possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to use a turn signal. Timothy Weed, 19, was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Both were released on $100 cash bonds pending a Dec. 12 court date.
