Friends of SWIM and how they changed colors

Hey,
SWIM was just thinking to himself there a few hours ago about something. SWIM had just gotten a call from a friend who was enquiring about some hash. Long story short, SWIM says no sorry etc.

Anyways, afterwards SWIM realised that of all his friends who seemed to look down on him when SWIM first started doing drugs other than smoking hash/weed. At least 90% of them, now use/abuse some of the drugs they looked down on SWIM for trying. SWIM has had a lot of people who called him stoner/freak/hippie etc turned around a few months/years later and asking SWIM for a smoke.

SWIM was pretty much made an outcast by some of his so called friends, mainly because they had believed everything negative they had heard about drugs. When SWIM tried to explain his amazing first time on XTC to some of his friends, instead of taking pleasure in hearing how SWIM had felt such a great high, they said "don't do that", "one can kill you" "drugs are bad" etc.

Sure most of SWIM's friends smoked and drunk loads of beer. But when it came to other ways of altering their perception they thought lesser of SWIM for what SWIM chose to do. Now it seems that all of SWIM's old friends are singing a different tune now. SWIM even had one of them offer him drugs but SWIM declined saying (jokingly) he didn't do them. SWIM's buddy looked shocked and walked away.

Has SWIY ever had a friend or friends say to SWIY all this crap about whatever drug it was and only for SWIY to find out they now use and/or abuse

Not, really. SWIM is still at the stage where loads of his friends have the "drugs are bad" attitude and is sure that they look down upon him. He went through the whole thing of trying to get people to explore a little bit but now more or less can't be bothered.

Incidentally, SWIM's friends are the kind of people that joke about how the alcohol is fucking their liver up or how they're going to die of smoking. To SWIM it simply means their immaturity is showing through and they can't take a positive mental attitude towards drugs because they don't really know what drugs are. The 2 or 3 drugs that they do take they don't really consider to be drugs because they've been living a lie for so long now. SWIM also thinks it may be because being old enough to drink is something people look forward to but taking illegal drugs is something that has always conjured-up stereotypical images of "bad people" in their head; people whose lives are spiralling out of control and have a near death experience every weekend.

Maybe one day these people will have their time. Maybe they'll fall in with another group of people, find out that there are a few drugs they take and then open themselves up. Maybe not. Time will tell.

Indeed, and meth is particularly bad on this. So many people looked down on SWIM for using meth and now they are straight up tweekers! SWIM actually had one pseudofriend ask him today if he could have SWIM's old reciepes cause SWIM is going away! This from a guy who 6-8 months ago only smoked weed on the weekends and in deep cover! Needless to say, SWIM respectfully told him that all of the paperwork has been gone for quite awhile. End of story? No way! Dude wanted to know where he could find the information for himself and actually got a little shitty when SWIM told him that he didn't know of any websites with stuff like that. Maybe SWIM should have sent him over to Totse. LOL! For the most part though, SWIM surrounds himself with like-minded and mature people. At SWIM's age, he dosen't have the patience for the incessant unintellegent babblings of immature people.
