Crystal meth and Crack usage.

Hi there. I need some help from some addicts/recorvering addicts. I'm writting a research paper on the effects of Crystal meth and Crack cocaine on the brain. I've been to all the health-orientated sites and found them to be vague and incorrect and was hoping I could get help from people who know first hand the effects of the drugs.


I myself haven't used either drug. It disgusts me to be honest. My father has been a HEAVY user for 3 years now.. we (me and my mother) lived with him the whole time untill recently we moved and he burnt the house down 2 days after we left. He first kicked holes in all the walls and punched out all the windows and called the cops and claimed someone did it to retaliate him. Which recently has been proven to be untrue not only by us but by the police aswell.


He is a chronic liar, paranoid, violent, stalking-behaviour, hallucinates, grinds his teeth which are also rotted he looks like he has aged 20 years.


He is on workers compensation and was fed Demerol, morphine, and oxycotins amung many other drugs from his doctor and was recieving over 1000 dollars every two weeks to feed his habit. He threatened to kill us even had machetes stuck down his pants and once had one to my mothers throat.


We got absolutely no help from the police. He has more rights than we do. Anyways, there were some things he did that werent common of an addict.


He binge ate ALL day. Sometimes we spent over 400 dollars for groceries every two weeks. He could sit down and eat a whole roast at one sitting and flip out at us that there wasnt more to eat.


Even having left he still threatens us. We recorded him and took it to the police they just told him to stop and be done with it. I doubt they will help untill he kills one of us (it's usually what happens anyways)


As for the fire the neighbor had told the police he told my dad "Hey man your house is on fire" My dad simply replied "Let the fucking thing burn" - and admitted to the police he was smoking crystal meth and dropped the lighter on the couch and left. They being the great law protectors ruled it anaccident.


I'm sorry for boring some of you but it is a subject that deeply effects me as it probably does you too.. I just want to let you know you not only hurt yourself doing the drugs you hurt everyone around you..(Am not preaching)
