The Home Office and Ketamine

The UK government has a reasonable report on ketamine on its web site.

It says that deaths associated with ketamine are very rare, as is addiction. It sasy that there is no neurotoxicty when it used medically, but with long-term use it could be an issue. Memory may be affected.

It sensibly says that driving or tasks related to operating machinery can be a problem.

However, that report is dated prior to classification. It would be interesting to learn what changed their minds.
