First GBL Experience

SWIM has taken there first dose of GBL and is nt quite sure of whether they enjoyed the experience ... swim has been very depressed for approximetly for a year and is taking fluxotine, They took 1.5ml Of GBL after feeling very down that day hoping it would pull them out of the mood, after 20 miniutes SWIM felt very relaxed happy and content but this only lasted 10 minuites or so and then they felt very tired and depressed again, they wanted to feel like those 10 miniutes of happiness again and was going to take another 1.5ml but then realised that could be very dangerous, so didnt take it.

SWIM has decided that maybe 3ml is needed next time or maybe should take it when im a more happier mood??? SWIM doesnt like feeling depressed and realises that GBL can possibly help cure this illness as his tablets arent working.

be careful

bro- be careful with GBL. SWIM has been in a struggle to deal with addiction to GBL. I would be cautious of using it to deal with depression. Under ideal conditions and in low doses ,GHB has some clinical use as an anti depressant. I say ideal, as in under medical supervision and as Rx ed. At 5ml at time you will find yourself damn near a dose that will will put you over the edge if you redose. Believe me, you will find yourself in a situation where you will see the dark side of gbl.
I dont always buy the hype on the deadly aspect or date rape scare tactics used to demonize GHB or GBL(there is a difference in effect), but I am aware that its a drugs that needs to be respected.
take it easy, be careful when redosing and stay away from a 24/7 cycle.

Stay away from GBL like the other poster stated - it will bite back before you know it.

If you really wan't to take this stuff convert it to GHB - addiction and adverse reactions are less. Stay from doing it 24/7 i.e. dosing everyday around the clock. Avoid relying on it for sleep (see 24/7 above). Take frequent breaks from it. You don't want a physical addiction now do you? Do some research also - there is good press, there is bad press, aknowledge both. Be careful - this stuff demands respect

As said above, be very careful with GBL! 5ml seems quite a lot, compared to GHB the dosis should be significantly lower. Also, there may be some side effects, more so than with GHB.

Moreover, logic dictates there's probably a reason why the majority goes through the process to make GHB. If there wasn't everyone would go the easy route and just take GBL instead...

Check out the quote below. (here's the full article on gamma-butyrolactone)

HTH

Quote:
GBL is a prodrug of GHB. Metabolism takes place in stomach and blood plasma. GBL is longer acting and has a shorter onset than GHB. Otherwise, effects are similar to GHB, although weight for weight it is significantly more powerful, meaning dosage must be lowered accordingly. If ingested undiluted through the oral route, GBL can irritate innards. It is possible for oral ingestion of GBL to cause nausea and other similar problems, possibly more so than with GHB.
PS: GHB is also an antidepressivum, arguably better than fluoxetine etc. the medicinal form is called Xyrem. You might be able to convince your physician to prescribe that instead... ;-) See alst the GHB and Xyrem doseing? thread for more details.
