4-Methoxy indoles

Does anyone have any information on any of the 4-MeO–subtituted tryptamines? The one I'm most curious about is 4-MeO-MiPT, which has an intriguing but frustratingly inconclusive entry in TIHKAL, and is related to 4-HO-MiPT, a lab favorite. There is not much info out there about other potentially fascinating compounds such as 4-MeO-DMT and 4-MeO-MET, either.

I'm wondering what characteristics the 4-MeO substitution might bring to the table. The 5-MeO substitution seems to tend to bring more bodyload and more disorientation, while the 4-HO derivatives tend to be gentler and more forgiving; the 4-AcO indoles tend to be similar in effect to the 4-HOs, but of slightly longer duration and slower onset. I think this is correct, in the main (I'm working from memory of what I've read, so forgive overgeneralizations and errors if you can). But what about the 4-MeOs? Anyone?

Saw that in TIHKAL but it seems that it was lacking some of the intense visuals that the 4 hydroxy and acetoxy counterparts have. Didn’t look like the guinea pigs took it all that far with testing. Sasha also mentioned that it was difficult to make so, add that to a not very impressive visual aspect and I bet it won’t ever become popular/common. Just guess work on my part though.

It appears to be “available” from at least one place but apparently few have sampled it.

Yeah, I was surprised at how little Shulgin & crew did with this one. Despite lack of visuals (why is everyone so keen on visuals?), this may have promise as a bit of a "sex drug." Like "foxy" without all the hideous body load.

Or maybe not.

I'll let you know if I hear anything from afield. In the meantime .... anyone else?

Looks like 4-MeO-MIPT might be available soon... keep an eye out for a report showing up somewhere. I don't know that my SWIM'n friend will sample it till he reads something favorable though.

Suppliers? I only meant that the machine-elves told SWIM (telepathically) that biochemists will soon discover that Fruit Loops contain .1% 4-meo-mipt and a new F'loop-extraction tek will be available.

Wasn't aware it was blowin minds out there already...
