SWIM tried methylpdenidate for the first time

SWIM came across some 10mg ritalin pills. He, his brother and friend, at work, all took 20mg, except for the friend, who took 10mg. Anyway, within about 20 minutes they had a decent rush of euphoria, excitedness... willing to just talk talk talk and spill information and talk about thing while interrupting each other. SWIM said it was simlar to cocaine in a way. This lasted about an hour, and deminished pretty fast... not leaving any of them feeling "bad", but a few hours later SWIM got pretty anxious (he is more prone to anxiety anyway) and a bit edgy, but nothing a couple valium won't take care of.
Anyway, while SWIM was "crashing" somewhat he snorted another 10mg, split in 2 lines about an hour apart. Didn't really do much. It seemed as though the first inital rush "was it".
Strange drug, but SWIM liked it, but didn't. He preferrs Adderall, but will not decline a ritalin if he can't get any adds. Anyway, just giving a somewhat vague report of SWIM and his adventures.

sounds like the classic ritalin experience! the feeling is similar to coke because they both block dopamine reuptake. however methylphenidate doesnt do that as effectively as coke, so even though it lasts longer, its not as intense. whats interesting to swim is that swiN felt paranoia long after the peak of the experience. swim has only felt that during the very peak of a ritalin or adderall rush. perhaps swiN would enjoy swallowing the pill if he needs more sustained energy at work sometime. the high is much more subtle, but it does provide a steady degree of energy for a few hours.

He wants energy all day at work (major 13 hour day crunch time physical labor). Hopefully he can get Concerta (hows the slow release?) or GOD FORBID Adderall. Maybe he'll have to end up taking his jittery uneuphoric ephedrine. Booo.
Oh well, he'll take the other 10mg around lunch or before.

(one thing he doesn't like is how short acting the fun part is. The comedown isn't BAD... it's definately not good. Leaves SWIM craving more, that's for sure. That in itself gives SWIM anxiety and a bit of edginess. It's really not as bad as people make it seem, but then again he's never gone above 30mg...)

hm, swim was never able to catch any buzz with concerta. it was alright for granting prolonged energy and wakefulness, but swim tried crushing and parachuting concerta, snorting it, and plain eating it, and was never able to get a true methylphenidate buzz with it. something about that time release is very difficult to circumvent. swiy should perhaps eat the methylphenidate if he needs energy, and much later in the day supplement it with ephedrine, which although uneuphoric is probably better than nothing. swiy should look into the brand name Focalin, which are 30 mg xr dextromethylphenidate. the lack of the other stereoisomer makes the feeling much less edgy, and if crushed and snorted, can produce a feeling more intense and euphoric than regular methylphenidate.
