Drug info - question about Datura stramonium plant.

I found three large Datura stramonium plants growing on the side of the road near my house. They are about 3ft. tall and have fully bloomed flowers but no seed pods on any of the plants. Does anyone know why this is? Do the pods appear later in the plants life? Or could someone have already picked them. Any info. would be greatly appreciated, I want to collect the plants to make an ointment but I would perfer to have the seeds.

The flowers probably just still need to be pollinated.

Dactora is a very strange experience, which is not fun mainly due to the negative effects on the autonomic nervous system such as unable to sweat which causes the rawness of the skin etc. The mental effects are more like a delirium which is like your asleep dreaming only your awake so you may be doing things that you have no control over just like in a dream.

Though it can be used safely if your pet cat starts of small and research the plant as much as kitty can. The safest way to use it would probably be by smoking the plant matter, though this should only be done short term as toxicity can build up from over use.

If your cat wants to eat the plant and

doesn't start of small then kitty would have no real way of knowing the strength of the plant and may end up either dead or in hospital and by small i mean pieces of leaf that are the size of an acid tab, well that's what swims experience was.

In answer to the original question, the seed pods develop later. Unpollinated flowers will still develop into seedpods, the seeds just wont be viable.
As to SWIY's intention of making an ointment, SWIY can make an equally potent preparation using the leaves or flowers.
