reducing p2np with sn and hcl

As I was out walking with my friend, he told me he about a dream he had.
He told me the following:

i recently had a dream of reducing p2np with sn and hcl in a 2 litre beaker procedure was 30 grams of p2np 120 grams sn granules with just enough water to cover contents the contents were mechanicaly stired and heated to 50c added dropwise was 200 ml conc hcl over a 8 hour period the contents upon completion of the reduction hade gone from a yellow p2np colour to a clear solution i then carefully basified to 13 witch percipetated out tin hydroxide and sodium cloride i then had a yellow water solution i then filtered out the hydroxide and the salt the filtrate was evaperated to yeild a yellow substance when conpletly dry i added 250ml dry ethanol witch desolved the yellow organic phase nice clean alcohol layer dropwise i added conc h2so4 percipetated was 26 grams of a very white powder i then filtered to collect product witch i thought was beta phenylisopropylamine but wasent did it go to the oxime or some other intermediate

could someone with a bit more knowledge than me help him, it would be mutch appreccated
