WTF is wrong with SWIMs throat??????

Ok, so about a week ago SWIM smoked a 30 of some meth over like a 3 hour period... ever since his throat has been really fucked up. It's like his voice is extremely raspy, and he just cannot get it to go away, no matter what. All his friends keep asking what he smoked, but he says nothing so they don't find out he was smoking meth. But the thing is it's getting REALLY old... if anything it's getting worse since the first day. SWIM has tried gargling water, pills to get the mucous out of his throat, and nothing works. Any advice would be much appreciated!!

It might be possible that impurities left from the synthesis, of which are many possibilities, has burned your monkey's larnyx (voice-box). Your monkey needs to go to a veterinarian and have it looked at. Unfortunately, damage to the larnyx can be a permenant condition. Sometimes, if from a toxic chemical, it can develop into cancer. The sooner your monkey has this looked at (it won't hurt - it's a little lightscope gizmo), the sooner a treatment can begin and your monkey can rest his mind.

In the meantime, don't strain your voice. Putting more stress to the larnyx will only aggravate the situation. And tell SWIM to find another supplier! See what happens when drugs are made illegal?

Did it perhaps turn blue-ish as it was being smoked? Swim has noticed that an incomplete lithium hydride reaction and/or improper post reaction cleaning will occasionally cause this. Also, SWIM has heard that cobalt salts bonded to the efed/pfed molicule may cause the same issues, which is a symption of heavy metal poisoning. SWIM seems to recall this same issue being brought up in another site some time ago and faintly recalls sitbknchil posting on it, but it is entirely possible that SWIM is confused.

Well, luckily everything turned out OK. SWIM thinks his larnyx was actually damaged, but thank god not enough to make a permanent side effect. It took about a week or a little longer to finally go away, but SWIM was scared as fuck.

whew, glad for you. Remind him to watch it though, i mean there's always the safest option, which is to stop smoking it and wind it down, maybe snort for a while and then cool it before any serious irreversible damage is done. There are many a beautiful substance out there just waiting to be used..
