Psilocybe Foensecii are quite abundant in the NE states. Also called Paneolus, these are most often either inactive or so low potency as to be inert for all intents and purposes. Summer and Fall. Bongo has found these just about anywhere there is a lawn. Other candidates include Paneolus Campanulatus - found in association with cow-dung in farm meadows. Summer and Fall. Low potency, and can make one sick. Possibly due to bacterial infections. Psilocybe Salvatica is known in association with logging/logging roads. Collected in Maine but never bio-assayed by Bongo. Found late Summer into Fall. Likely low potency on the order of Psilocybe Pelliculosa. But don't hold Bongo to that. Gymnopilus Spectabilis is also found in the NE.
