anyone tried alka seltzer shots

Swim recently tried something intresting recommended by a friend. Wondering if anyone else has tried this, and if they know exactly why it works so great... the only answer swim was given is the alkaloids purify it.

put about 10cents worth meth into a standard sized shot glass and added half a tablet of alka seltzer. filled shot glass to top with water and waited for fizzing to stop before drinking. CHEERS.

about 10 minutes later swim and her friend were absolutly spun from a very small amount.... more than 1/10th what they had during the past 24 hours. swims friend swears by this. will let you know after come down, since it was the last of swims stuff how long it lasted as well.

swim also thinks its amazing how quickly and strongly it hits with a very intense high. any answers as to why?

I've heard of something similar for increasing the effects of opiates (grapefruit juice + tums 30 mins before dosing, dose with more tums to basify your tummy as best you can)
SWIM is wondering how+why this works with methamphetamine, scientifically.
SWIM is excited to hear this as he may be making a very very small reaction in the upcoming days (probably 1g in a test tube... hopefully he'll get at LEAST a half gram. He's never tried it, but if this Alka Seltzer thing is true it will last him longer )

• Alka-Seltzer® in water contains principally the antacid sodium citrate and the analgesic sodium acetylsalicylate.

Only thing I can think of is that it has something to do with the pH of your stomache. Unsure, though.

swim knows that baka soda has a similar effect with amphetamines, there are plenty of ppl on this site that swear by that.... swim wonders if it is the orignal basic effect of the baking soda or the rebound effect that actually makes the stomach produce more acids...hmm
