mould on dry poppy pods...

Hello all, I recently bought a number of dry pods which seem to have some mould on them, there are lots of black spots near the top of the pods and a thin coat of white stuff. I'm planning the ice extraction method to make smokeable product, do I need to get rid of the mould and if so how? Could I microwave them lightly or would that degrade the useful stuff?

SWIM has always cut off the moldy spots.

You can also wash them with soapy water... or if you're using the ice extraction method, you could also just pasteurize the opium-water before freezing.

Here's how: quickly heat the extract-water mix to a boil. then refrigerate. and then boil the water very quickly a SECOND time. this will kill mold, bacter, and spores that made it through your first boiling.

SWIM has done this and never noticed any loss of quality AND he's never gotten sick off the extract of the poppies.

Swim just got very sick or he thinks from that, had made poppy tea from dried pods from a certain online auction site, he is thinking of doing an alchohol extraction with everclear to avoid this, but swim cant figure out if he got sick from over dose or sick from something else, the sickness is throwing up , swim has not been able to eat or drink very much since last night because everything comes up within a very small ammount of time... very sad for swim beause he's been eating oxycodone tabs, probably threw up about 80$ worth T___T, he shall refrain from dosing till the vomiting stops.....so alchohol extraction vs whatever ice thing your talking about?
