Pill testing in Amsterdam in front of clubs...

SWIM plans on visiting Amsterdam soon and is wondering how the pill testing sites work. SWIM has read that they are outside and they just take enough off your pill (3mg worth) to test it than educate you on the results and your next move and give you the pill back. SWIM has also heard there are free tests where you donate your pill to get it tested by gas chromotography(same test as ecstasydata.org?) which is a more exact test. Does anyone have any experience with this in Amsterdam? Thanks

Haha, it's not like that at all, at least not anymore.

Pill testing at clubs and parties isn't there anymore, probably not allowed. There are testing instances though, but there you need to give a pill (two allowed at maximum), and then there are two possibilities. The first would be that your pill matches another pill exactly, and so they can give you all the information immediatly. The second possibility is that the pill is yet unknown over there and they will send it to a lab. You will receive the test result by phone in one or two weeks. Note that these testing instances are sometimes only opened at specific days at specific times. If I remember correct, the Jellinek is only opened at thursday.

Anyway, these testing instances will give you much more information about the pill than ecstasydata.org for example; they also give you the amount of MDMA-HCL present in the pill.
