Shroom hunting - Catskill Mountains

Has anybody ever gone hunting in the catskill mountains and did you find anything? If an experienced hunter knows if MM can grow on a mountain(with trees and such around)please answer also.

Best bet in the Catskill region would be the Gymnopilus spp. as well as
possibly liberty caps (psilocybe semilanceata) or pan subbs. Wrong season
for all of those right now though.
