Experiences - Vertigo and Dysphoria: LSD and Alcohol

Recently Swim took some acid which he has done many times before with no prblems, but this time he also drank beer, rum, absinthe, and smoked some grass and a cigarette. Swim will point out up till then he had never really smoked a cigarette and was smoking it likie a joint (holding the hits in for long time), so after smoking the cigarette swim started to feal nautious and ran to the bathroom to vomit on the floor. As he layed there he was unable to open his eyes because the room was spinning and it made him feel even more nautious, so he drank some water which made him feel a bit better, but then squinted and stumbled to a couch and passed out.
Now this is not the first time, once before in the summer swim drank about 1/2 a bottle of Buckleys and had a similar experience were he was unable to open his eyes because of the nauseating swiming and this happened also after an initial vomitting, but after a while swim regained the ability to see without vomitting though was still some what dysphoric, but a while after that was fine and had a nice high.

So my question is has anyone else experienced this? Could the vomitting induce the spinning? How could I reverse it?

I'd be more inclined to think that the drinking and tobacco induced the spins. And this sense of vertigo induced the vomiting. Also remember that psychedelics magnify the mind - including sensorial experiences. Which is why they were touted as being great for sex back in their hayday of the 1960's. Only in this case it was great for the spins, vomiting, and passing out.

Reverse it? Leave out the alcohol and tobacco. Unless you enjoy this. To each their own.

Any time you do something for the First time, an unexpected result may happen. For instance, the First time smoking a cig. I would hazard a guess, that at least 10% of the people who smoke a whole cig their First time out will develop some nausea (of which barfing is the next step).

If you have had a lot of Trips on Acid, then you know how it works on your mind (and your body). I, personally, get nauseous when I drink Beer (while on Acid).

See, you did not give us enough info to understand what your problem is. So, if you want a (somewhat) informed opinion, please give more info?
1. How many times have you drunk Rum on Acid
2. How many times ... Beer?
3. How many times ... Absinthe?
4. How many times ... Marijuana?

5. How many times Rum, Beer, Absinthe and Marijuana while Trippin' on Acid?
6. How often do you get nauseous on Acid?

With these questions answered, your "event" will come into clearer focus.

It surprises me when I hear someone rattle-off a combination which would make me sick, and then wonders why they got sick. I am glad we are different (and things affect us differently). When I Trip, I usually ONLY will take some Pot (if anything) to make the Trip more easy-going.

But I think these kind of Threads are not helpful to people who are thinking about Trippin' for their First time. Someone reads about Physical problems, and is afraid to Trip.

Acid is a wonderful drug. It opens the mind up to the mystery of the Universe. It calms my body, so that all of my little "pains" are gone for the rest of the Trip. Even my bladder is happy. I can go for the entire 6 hours, and not even feel the urge. Acid: Good for my mind, good for my body.

Tobacco and alcohol can all induce the spins. If you don't use much of either, the spinning and nausua is more common with lower doses. One cigarette can induce nausea for someone who smokes very infrequently.

Especially if you smoke it the way he did, like a joint and holding the hits. That would make me sick and I have 2-3 smokes per day, not alot but still.

Well I have drank on Acid before though never Absinthe, and I have vomitted after smoking a cpl cigars before bso I have a feeling that it was the cigarette but what about the DXM experience?
And I have no intentions of creating some horror around LSD I have had many succesful trips with out incident.
And I would say about 50% of my trips have included marijuana and 30% included alchohol.
