Nostradamus is learning how to SWIM.

SWIM has noticed some re-occurring occurrences while undergoing a trip. The first he has heard referred to as 'acid shivers'. It is similar to a 'cold shiver' going up and down your spine only about twice as long. The sensation seems to go up and down and up and down, making the shoulders go back and fourth nottwice but more like four times.

The other occurrence is more like a side-effect. It involves speech. Finding the right word can take much longer, as in remembering the name of a specific color. At some dose (I'm guessing 300-400 mics) speech becomes near impossible. At normal doses SWIM's sentencestructure seems to be affected. He doesn't know how many times he has been left hanging when he finds himself mid sentence and realizes there is no way to finish the sentence. It's like merging two sentences and not even producing a full one. This one time he was talking to a cute girl at a party and he kept getting his foot stuck in his mouth. She asked him if he was having 'trouth mubbles' (mouth troubles). Nostradamus thought that was very funny.

I get the shivers and the fucked up sentence structure too. It's all part of the territory. LSD isn't exactly the most social drug I suppose.

I recommend reading Tim Leary's "The Psychedelic Expirience: A manual
based on the Tibetan Book of the Dead" (which you can find on
Erowid.org > under culture and such), which goes in deeply on these
bodily effects of 'transition' (Leary, others, including SWIM, also
have them on shrooms) and he gives some nice answers, imo.

The most strange thing I found with the shivers, though, is that I took
a rather minute amount of acid, and later, about two weeks long,
whenever I read something about acid and 'thought' about that time, I
got the same shivers as I had then. I just couldn't shake them unless
my mind wandered off, very annoying. Never had them after that.
