IV instructions

i feed my monkey (insulf) almost every four days and this
seems to be working fine, although buying the 6-7 bags nessescary puts
a hurt on the pocket book. considering reducing the frequency that swim
dopes up for tolerance propose, not to mention to spare some green for
savings.



swim has never IVd but most of swim's friends do, and a lot more
frequently then i plan to. A bit embarressed to ask my friends because
they think i should have already know how, but truth be told, i don't
know were to start. strange situation huh?



MATRIALS: ive got my sterile water, cotton, alcohol,a tie-off, i'll use
the bottom of an aluminum can to cook, and a u-100 is my weapon of
choice.



STEP ONE:how much water/dope should i use? really i just need ratios. do i cook till there isn't much water left?



STEP TWO:add the cotton ball, and have that filter out impurities.
drawl back on the cotton ball sending liquid into the syringe. top off
the needle



STEP THREE: tie off and find a vein.



apparently im seriously confused with my step one.

most people i have seen shooting tend to use 40-50 units of water for a
regular hit (1/4-1/5 of a gram of street dope) but this is an analogy
you should find out for yourself. Generally speaking, more concentrated
solutions tend to have a greater rush. these people also tend to add
something acidic to the dope/water mixture before cooking as a solvent.

Fuck, DON'T use 1/4 gram of dope first go...not unless you have a reasonable daily habit...there are quite a lot of threads/posts on I.V.ing, so use the Search function...


In terms of the amount of water, i don't subscibe to the 'less water, bigger rush' theory, just put in 40-70 units..heat it till it starts to bubble, & the dope starts to dissolve..stop the heat, stir any remaining dope with either end of the plunger (i use the rubber end, but it's a personal thing..others use the flat plastic end coz it doesn't expose the interior of the fit to the spoon)...put in filter, suck up the dope, being careful with the end of the fit on the spoon (ie DON'T BARB IT)..then you can put a couple of drops of water in the spoon to do a 'wash', & collrct any dope that is left, but again, that is a personal choice...but do a search, there is lots of info here..

for the info, swim centainly wasn't planning on cooking up 1/4
gram of dope for my first IV. swim was thinking maybe just a bag, i
dunno how big they are there but here it is maybe 1/8th gram. swim has
a high tolerance for a snorter
