So, SWIM took 2.5 very dry grams of Psylocibe cubenis around 10 AM
thursday morning. SWIM spent a good deal of time deconstructing life, trying to figure out how things worked, and each time, found himself in another level to the "gears" as he understood it, falling deeper and deeper through these levels, only to bound back up to midline and work his way *up*. Anyone else had experiences like this? If so, I'd love to discuss it. |

I find that a lot of my thoughts seem quite remarkable whilst tripping on shrooms but my thoughts move so quickly that I am unable to record them. It feels strange because at the time it feels like it's revolutionary thought but when the effect wears off, I draw a blank and can't really grasp the concept of my ideas as if they are lost forever.

That's why SWIM likes to use recording devices such as video camera, or
audio recorders, so that he can listen to the thoughts after the fact, kind of a refresher. The layers of complexity thing was what got him, though. SWIM had always taken closer to 1.5g in the past, and while his trips were very visual and empathetic, this one had a very "mechnical-spiritual" feel, as if even the most spiritual of things have a technical bent to them. |

Oh man, this touches on a major part of my worldview. I am currently involved in a projectattempting to work its way up through these gears you mentioned to see what's at the top. If you can explain the motions of physcial bodies as being driven by the mathematics of force, then the next thing you have to explain is what is force, what causes it to happen, what causes mathematics to work? What makes2+2=4?What's the 'engine' that such things as time, space or consciousness run on? Wesee this as having relevance to two distinct realities: linguistic and physical. The way in which the linguistic reality is deconstructed and analyzed serves as the model for the dissection of reality as a whole. Deconstructionist theory, structuralism and postmodernism would very likely interest you. Here's some recommended reading: Course in General Linguistics - Ferdinand de Saussure, The Semiotic Challenge - Roland Barthes, Of Grammatology - Jacques Derrida, Simulations - Jean Baudrillard, The Postmodern Condition - Jean-Fancois Lyotard. |
