Do any of you Amsterdammers on the board know of the little coffeeshop off Damark in Centrum named "Prix D'Ami" ? I went to the A'dam last July and this little spot became my local smoking spot over the few days I spent there. I immediately liked the place because although it's located in a fairly touristy location, the place seems very laid-back, non-pretentious and humble. It's nothing fancy, just a chilled-out smoking spot.
The deals there were absolutely great considering the prices of other nearby coffeeshops. I got talking to some of the employees and they threw me some free bud when they noticed me returning day after day. I liked the way they went about their business. They were very honest about the quality of their gear and it was all chopped, sieved and weighed right in front of me. I must have smoked everything on the menu there by the time I left the city. Anyway, I recommend this place as a good no-nonsense coffeeshop with a decent little menu and good customer service which is a breath of fresh air in the Centrum tourist trap. I can't speak for the coffeeshop itself, but some bum tried to pickpocket me outside this coffeeshop. At night the alley ways around that area are bum central. I saw him walking back and forward down that alley all the time, it must've been his patrol. lolLast time i was in that area, undercover police ran and pounced on some other junkie and started dragging him down the street...

I went in this coffeeshop last july, I personaly don't understand it's french name (means "fair price), but the pre-rolled joints I bought in this shop (cream of maroco and himalaya gold) were pretty good.
