Opinions - Me Vs. Doc.

Ok I was on Klonopin for 3 weeks. The first week I just took 1 mg 3
times daily. Then I built a tolerance and started taking a higher
dosage. So it went to 3mg one time a day and somedays I didn't use it
it at all. I told my Doc. this and he told me I shouldnt be doing this
and if I do it again I should see another psychiatrist. I told him that
1mg didn't do anything. Anyways He Scripted me to another benzo Xanax.
at 1mg. I told him that it won't do anything(tried before). And that he
should raise it. He refused too and still told me to take 1mg three
times daily. What good is it gonna do if its not an effective dosage? I
told him I wanted just to use the tranquilizer for ocassional use. He
said it was a bad idea because it is very addictive. I told him I
already knew. Was I in the right or was He right? I also got a script
to buspar and when i was leaving I said well I hope the Buspar
works(meaning i knew that the xanax would not at his recommended
dosages).

I would see another Psychiatrist! If he isn't taking your suggestions,
then he isn't worth it... And I wouldn't advise the occasional use
either, unless you want to use it for getting high instead of to help
you.

wWhat's the effect you think is supposed to happen? Cause When you're
prescirbed benzodiapines you're not supposed to be messed up all the
time. Everyone that I know who takes them recreationally do it to get
fucked up. My friend's dad takes xanax for anxiety. You're not supposed
to feel it working, but it is. Is it not working or are you just not
getting the feeling you want?

sounds like you just want a doctor to hand you scripts....Just try taking the meds as he said...wait a week or 2, and if nothing happens call your doc.
