I have severe nerve damage and have been on various opiate meds for the last 2 years. I have a huge tolerance needing to inject IM dilaudid 12-20mg for 5 hours of relief. or take 80mg of oxy or hydrocodone for less effectiveness. A few weeks ago I tried took some mdma and found that I needed to take less than half the pain meds and found that I got relief for longer. Any idea as to why this may be? Also wondering if anyone might have sugjestions on the best meds to take for long term pain management and by that I mean one that will not create tolerence so quickly and be very effective for pain.

You might try either Fentanyl patches(either Duragesic brand or Mylan
generic) SWIM has noticed they both seem to work great. You could also
try methadone, if you have not already tried it. Those seem like the
only other options SWIM could think of.

is mylan the generic patch? Just wondering because I have to pay for meds up front and then get reimbursed. When I was taking OC I had to shell out 6-700$ a month and wait for 6 months for reimbursment. I know that the duragesic patches are expensive.
