ghb odour

I got some ghb, but is has little odd "industrial" smell. any ideas where that could be from. Taste is salty. I and my friends had drink it and it seems to be ghb, but shouldn't ghb be odorless?

sounds like unreacted GBL in the GHB. I've had this lots with Liquid GHB, thats why I only use Pure Powdered GHB now even though its more expensive.

Sounds like GBL to me too, even GHB has a slight odor.

I've seen articles claim GHB is tasteless and odorless which is bullshit.

If your GHB is not salty then it is not NaGHB! In SWIM experiences it was never odorless...alwyas a littleodor. People also add some food-colour to achieve a blue or green or whatever colour, and cause of this itcould also smell like blueberries...


SWIM`s is spacyred with a light odor of strawberry...

Liquid GHB will always be in the process of converting back to GBL and then back to GHB,so there will always be some GBL in the liquid mixture(this is called Equilibrium)


More likley is that the reaction was not properly measured and there is extra GBL in the product.


This is not harmful in this small level and will be converted to GHB in the liver.


For the discussion SWIM has made batches which resulted in no smell or taste however this would only happen a small percentage of times and the GBL smell would come back after a week or two.

in fact GBL safety has been documented on a 2 year study..
