Health - Do "permanent trips" after LSD exist?

ive read somewhere on this forum that when taking lsd there is a small chance of staying in a permanent trip. How can this be, would you have to take a ridiculously large dose or are you basically taking a chance of staying in a permanent trip everytime you drop.

no. it doesnt happen like that. the dangers of lsd are that if you have
tendencies towards mental illness it can bring it out and if you do it
really often (like every day for a long time) you can get kind of
retarded and constantly out of it. theres no real danger of just
"getting stuck in a trip" unless maybe you were on a LOT of acid and
had a really traumatic experience like watching your friend die or
something. and even then you arent going to be in a full on acid trip
for your whole life, youd probably just be kind of pleasantly unaware
that you were somewhat retarded.
