I am going to a doctor who runs the local detox and does pain management. 6 or 7 years ago i went to detox for heroin addiction. 4 years ago I joined the army and got injured and now have permanent nerve damage and severe chronic pain I have been on vicodin 5's , Norco 10mg , 200mg oxycontin a day, demerol, Dilaudid, because of the military I was not able to tell these doctors I had a history of opiate dependance I no longer take drugs to get high but just like every other addict my tolerance goes up very quickly anyone got any Ideas for pain meds that will last for more than 4-6 hours and wont make me really fucked up? going to the doc at 11:00

Yeah Man, I've been having to take opiate's for about 6 years now, due to overworking my body and self when I was younger, but anyway, the doctor has put me on a medicine used for people withopioid tolerance called fentanyl trasdermic pathches and the best part about them I feel, is the fact that the medicine being assigned by the patch and skin's ability(absorption rate) to intake last for 72 or at least up to 72 hours. The patch is called the duragesic patch and is expensive but so far My experience with the patch and my cronic back pain has been some what more peasurable in life, more time to enjoy and less to hurt. Have a good life and just a reminder these paches are strong with fentanyly and could be dangerous if not properly managed with as far as kids and pets go even aftr used just some food for thought good day. nottheunforgive |

I don't understand why you would think it necessary to make that last
post. I am assuming that perhaps you have attempted to use fentanyl recreationally and were disappointed by the results, or perhaps that you just like to hear yourself speak. Either way, making a comment like that without giving any reason or explanation isn't helping to answer this question, and I fail to see why you would think it worthwhile to throw it into the discussion. Anyway, that said, fentanyl patches can be a very good option for people legitimately looking for help with chronic pain. Fentanyl is among the most powerful opioids known, so the patches come in many different strengths, depending on how much tolerance a person has... The fact that the medicine in one patch is enough to last three days has led to a number of overdoses from people attempting to use duragesic recreationally. It's really unfortunate, because this sort of thing makes duragesic difficult to obtain even for those in most legitimate need of pain relief. Fentanyl is also available in Actiq, which is essentially a lollipop containing a small amount of fentanyl. It's not XR, so it's used for breakthrough pain PRN... |
