Re: Hampton Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Hampton
Swim has worked as a nurse in this facility. Although as far as a VA is concerned, the building is old and damp but right on the water with a great view! The staff is very good and SWIM came across a lot of very good professionals. There is still the issues of under staffing but, the patients are taken very good care of here and appear to be fairly happy. If SWIM were to return to work as a nurse, SWIM would love to go back to the VA. There are a lot of very sick patients there, some with multiple problems but are remarkably taken good care of by people that have a lot of experience and know their job. They not only know the book aspect but what to expect from each person as an individual but can anticipate their individual needs based on their experience. SWIM found that the patients here were very comforted by the familiarity of the personnel as what to expect and seen to progress well. SWIM loves to see people get the help they need and progress well!!!
