Re: Free Adam-Amsterdam

SWIM spent a lot of time in this Coffeeshop when in Amsterdam recently, he came back far more than with other coffeeshops because of the nice atmosphere. It can get quite busy, is on the main tourist coffeeshop street, and has the basic cloned menu that seems to be identical in most tourist orientated coffeeshops (i.e with White Widow at the top of the list). But it is a very chilled out place, with consistently good reggae music being played and comfortable seats.

The staff seem more like people who needed a job rather than people who specifically wanted to work in a coffeeshop due to a love of weed, but they were efficient, polite, and very helpful to people with limited experience - SWIM saw them rolling joints for people on multiple occasions.

The price of the food and smoking accesories was overpriced like in most of Amsterdam, but it gets served quickly and SWIM swears that the hot chocolate with cream (and free cocoa sprinkling) is the best he has ever tasted, and will now make a habit of making that at home. The hash cakes seem to be below average in taste and are very bread like, unlike the nice chocolate brownies that many coffeeshops sell. They would do well to sell other food, though they didn't mind food from elsewhere being bought in (SWIM found it quite funny when he got the muchies and the only thing he could buy to eat was a hash cake).

Thank you for this excellent review. Keep up the great work, and thanks for reporting back from the netherlands.
