Re: The Cult of Pharmacology: How America Became the World's Most Troubled Drug Cultu

Well, the email address that is posted for contact is defunct...I am reading this book now and will write a review upon completion. So far it's an excellent read, he makes very compelling arguments concerning the problem of drug addiction and America's troubled drug culture, namely that 'addiction' is in large part a byproduct of cultural beliefs about drugs and that we as a society still attribute magical properties to drugs, a philosophy that he dubs 'pharmacologicalism'. This is one of the best drug books I have read because of it's objective sociological perspective. But, I'll wait for the review to get in-depth.
