Re: World Psychedelic Forum (Basel, Switzerland - March 21-24, 2008)

I would absolutely love to got to the World Pyschedelics forum. I have devoted my whole life to learning the cultural, pharmalogical, anthropological and historical aspects of substance use. Ever since I was young the concept of being able to alter moods and emotions enamoured me. I believe that drugs hold a window into what we are really are as human beings, they take us back to the wonder and mystery of the unconcious. I believe they serve as a powerful tool for self discovery and will if allowed proove benificial as a thereupetic tool. I feel that I have the academic and intellectual experience to interpret and report on the various interesting speakers.

The plane ticket would be a bit pricey but I would no doubt bite the bullet for such a unique oppurtunity.

At the moment I am trying to convince my 60 year old philosophy professor to accompany me on this trip, as he is a flower child that is well versed in all of the speakers work and has been a mentor and friend to me for a good while.

Whoever gets chosen I look forward to seeing the coverage

I have read many books by a fair number of the speakers and would love to hear them speak and possibly have a chance to meet any of them. At the moment I am a bio chem student that aspires to get a pHD in biology or attempt to pursue neurology. I want to work for MAPS when I get out of school and help legitimate the right to use these gems of substances for the benefit that they are more then capable of. I am well versed with the cutting edge of the pyschedelic culture and the research chemical community. I am also very interested in
