SWIM was wondering what other SWIMMERS think about the potential of atypical anti-psychotics (in particular olanzapine) to cause/exacerbate anhedonia i.e. the inability to experience pleasure.
He has noticed in other threads people warning that this is a potential side-effect of "atypicals" such as olanzapine, whereas elsewhere on the web he has read that this is rather a feature of the older "typical" anti-psychotics. This is also the line SWIM's psychiatrist takes.
Basically, SWIM developed this symptom long before he was put on anti-psychotics, but is unsure whether it is made better or worse by their use. He has actually heard that they may actually improve this particular symptom.
AnySWIM have an opinion?
