Volumetric dosing of benzo powders

SWIM is considering dissolving large quantities of alprazolam powder (600mg) in a liquid. He's considering something with an ethanol base. Does anyone's dog know if alprazolam dissolves easily (with stirring etc) in a liquid suspension of 50% ethanol and 50% distilled water? Does anyone's dog know the best way to dissolve said powder? :thumbsup:

everclear or any kind of grain alcohol would be swiys best bet. Alprazolam is not in the least water soluble. If one were to dissolve a set amount in some grain alcohol or another high proof alcohol and then siphone off a set amount into another drink, say perhaps some juice and drink for desired effects.

So swim was wonder what the best way to go about making a solution of liquid alprazolam and diazepam assuming one has pure powders to start with.

AFOAF has had luck w/ using ethanol and making solutions as high as 5mg/ml, but was wondering if anyone knew how pharma makes these. In 200 proof ethanol is not the most desirable form.

I am pretty sure they are only slightly soluble in water, what about DMSO. Isn't this safe to ingest?

SWIM's buddy used Everclear to mix the Alprazolam in appropriate concentrations then dropped the concoction onto small marshmellows. Let dry and this can work nicely. The marshmellows taste HORRIBLE, though.
