I am posting a link to Transform's media blog this report, I know this seems a bit lazy but I have to admit that I have now ditched many of my concerns about Transforms policy, especially the work of Steve Rolles.

As they say, the latest ideas emanating from the UN are unbelievable in that they ignore everything that high level reporting bodies are advising. To give you a flavour of its wanton disregard for culture and rights, it even seeks to criminalise coca tea and coca leaf chewing across South America. Blame Amy Winehouse, they wouldn't blame victims would they? Yep, celebrities are not punished enough, please study this and try to control your language in response which might be difficult.

I think it would be a good idea to get some of the reports linked towards the bottom of this linked blog and responses archived, many of these groups deserve closer attention and IMO we need threads dedicated to exploring their role and ideas.

This is an idea that has been touched upon in other threads and it is definitely worth considering. The format this would take would need careful looking at.

The International Drug Policy Consortium (IDPC) has also published a response to the UN 2007 report which SWILL has uploaded to the file archive in the Drug Policy Debate section.
