swim's looking for some trippy music to listen to in order to enhance the experience while on DXM. Suggestions, anyone?
swim reccomends you listen to Café Tacuba's "Revés" album. You will enjoy it, regardless of your language, ethnicity, socioecomomic background, religious creed, musical preference or drug of choice.
cafe del mar compilations are one of my favs
most chill out music and trance seem to do the job
chemical brothers "come with us" cd puts me in another world
I listen to the album called "In Dub" by Hallucinogen. It's fucking
great music. Sometimes I'll put on one of the long performances by Van
Dyk, Oakenfold, or Tiesto also. It's pretty much always techno that I
listen to though for the experience.

mushrooms however other I also really enjoy N.E.R.D.'s Fly or Die album
and Incubus's Crow Left of the Murder and Morning View albums as well
as Scott Masson's Office album and The Office's Ice Tea Boys and
Lemonade Girls Album (bar yellow is my favorite)

Modest Mouse- dramamine and stars are projectors
I love to listen to west coast 90's rap, or mainstream rap, but only the best of the best, with great lyrics/flow and especially beats (nothing liek a great flow with mindful lyrics and rave-ish beat)

If you can find it a CD called "Electronic Tribute To Pink Floyd" it sounds like a DXM trip feels. Trust me :-D
Peace,

I am listening to www.live365.com (http://www.live365.com), a free internet radio station source. It has very good sound on most of the stations. I am on a DXM buzz and enjoying the station LAVALOUNGE, which I think is listed under dance, electronica music. Suicide Blonde by INXS, and Freedom of Choice by DEVO just came on for instance. Fuck this is great.http://www.drugs-forum.com/forum/smileys/smiley36.gif

Jethro Tull's "a passion play" album as well as "thick as a brick" always get me to where i need :D
i know this must sound crazy, but i love to drive on dxm. i love anything fast enough to do something stupid with. the first time i did dxm i did 300mg's second time i did 600, and that was unreal. the third time i did it i did 600, but i was in a lot more control than the previous time. so i poppeda moby cd in my dads car (i was 17 at the time)and took off. it was amazing. i drove 60 miles from my house and back in an hour and a half. then i went through my entire musiccollection of about 300 cd's and listened to all of it. i think that what ever music one likes is the best music to listen to. some of my favorite songs are:
when the levee breaks by a perfect circle
estrogen oxygen by loudermilk
freak of nature by sinnistar
forestfire by david usher
the messenger by infected mushroom

Everyone has to listen to Ulrich Schnauss (especially if you like My
Bloody Valentine). He is one of the best newer electronic artists.
I highly recommend you listen to happy hardcore while on that. It'll really get ya movin. http://www.drugs-forum.com/forum/smileys/smiley2.gif
Pink Floyd - Division Bell.
Some random electronica station on iTunes - works great - or random ringtones on your cellphone.
It has to be Psy-trance! Infected Mushroom in particular, or Hallucinagen. Some of the Goa cd's are ok too, but seem a little cheesy and dated.Failing that, someWorld Beat. Deep Forest, or one of the Buddha Bar or Siddhartha compilations.
for a very mystical trip, try these:
spiritual worlds (it's a 2cd chill-out compilation which is just wonderful for any psychedelic or dissociative, it will make your mind travel so far!)
Dead can dance (this group is prettymystic too, try download these tracks: "carnival of light", "end of a circle",
Alio die (download the following songs from them: "road to wirikuta" and "journey around a stone")
any MODEST MOUSE or trippy beatles
psitrance if you wanna dance or any mystical stuff if you wanna sit down and voyage (dead can dance, ravi shankar were nice, the compilation "spiritual worlds" was wonderful)...good downloading man !

Somebody else likes Cafe Tacuba? Very cool.
I alsoreccommendthe Chemical Brothers, you can't go wrong there. The album "Gish" by the Smashing Pumpkins is good because it's fast one moment and then slow and psychadelic the next.Usually I like ambient, relaxing things when I'm tripping. I really like:"Let Go" by Frou Frou; "To Be Alone With You" by Sufjan Stevens; "Karma Police" byRadiohead;and "Wave of Mutilation" by the Pixies.

Sufjan Stevens is awesome! His new cd is a little disappointing, though. I liked it more when it was called Michigan.
Modest Mouse - Float on
Im not a modest mouse fan really, but I watched this video while tripping(high dose) and it was like that song was made for tripping off dxm.
Well, everything or nothing for me. I can get annoying auditory effects
which make it unpleasant to listen to any music at all. Or if I don't
get any auditory effects, I like listening to anything, including music
I usually try hard to avoid. The latter also occurs to me when I've had
a few beers. Of course I still pick something that I'd like anyway.
Well, as for suggestions: what I usually listen to is Fantômas
(especially the Delirium Cordia album), or Buckethead, he's got some
nice albums too which give me just an extra bit of trippy-ness.
On rare occasions I search the internet for a goa-trancestation.
If you wanna mad trip, take 650 to 900mg dxm and listen to Dead Can Dance
download the following tracks from them:
carnival of lights /the human game / this mortal coil / rainbow voice / shadow magnet / mesmerism / pilgrimage of lost children / the spider's stratagem / indoctrination / swans / severance / broken vows / bird / anywhere out of the world / bolero / desert song / in the wake of adversity / the children's toys / enigma of the absolute / flowers of the sea / mephisto / fuaelo / dreams made flesh / kadath / end of a circle...
these are very good ones, just get them and make a cd, play the cd as the dxm is hitting you hard (come up)....but I warn you this is esoteric music (kabbalahrelative)whichwill direct you intoan intense trance state(try to dance on it for a few minutes while peaking you'll see what I mean)...
I spent my all 650mg trip listening to this and with each of their songs I was like possessed by different entities or different energies, each song directing a new energy on me...it was creazy, pure, beautiful, dark, unsaine, luminous, horrible, stunning, well it was MAD.Edited by: genaro

The Unicorns
also try soundtracks such as the Eternal Sunshine for a Spotless Mind and
Garden State soundtracks.

The Unicorns aren't that new.. in fact, they broke up back in February!http://www.drugs-forum.com/forum/smileys/smiley19.gif
Speaking of soundtracks, Gattaca, Pi, and Edward Scissorhands are all really good.

i cant listen to music i dont like it pisses me off, so i listen to trippy music which i do like which i only listen to rap,a good rap song with a trippy beat is My Rap World (remix) by Andre Nickatina, alot of his songs trip me out in the first place, they almost make me high on their own without the dxm.http://www.drugs-forum.com/forum/smileys/smiley4.gif
Personally, I can't listen to music on DXM, it just seems annoying
after awhile (and this is very strange, because I'm a music nut...I'm
actually a DJ).
i usually listen just to rock when im sober but i cant listen to it when on dxm, its just too intense and one time i remember the music kept telling me to die. then i tried techno, some cd by paul van dyke and that shit made me travel, i was flying with my bed over the earth, lol. then i listened to coldplay and it was sooo dreamy and relaxing, everything was just splendid.
i gotta have only my headphones though, if the stereo's on then its gonna piss me off.
i always listen to Terence McKenna mp3's while on dissociatives :)
Its the only thing that amuses me
Grtzz
I couldn't find this subject in a search so sorry if this is covered ground, but what's some of the best music to do nitrous to? SWIM finds that anything with J. Garcia playing guitar without lyrics (IE: a Jam) works bestter than anything he's found so far. Let's see what everyone else likes.
I'm sure techno will be thrown around a lot & that's cool. what are specific titles of songs or albums. Or how about bands(humans on instruments without a drum machine.
Just thought of another: background music to the TV show 24. it's so great, but no good when dialogue is heard. Brings swim out of Waa Waa... Love the Waa Waa.

I feel when on dxm music is extremely important... I like to lie in bed with the lights off listening to some modest mouse, steve miller band, sublime, and even some techno. What do u like to trip to?

Try Opera, really... Great music to trip to. Classical is always a
goody too. Velvet Underground, a few of The Beatles songs, Deftones,
Floyd... Velvet Acid Christ, Funker Vogt, Assemblage 23... Some of
Cradle of Filth's songs are very nice as well. Nine Inch Nails is also
great to have on during a trip. I hope some of you look into all of
those :-).
I find that sitting at my computer watching WMP visualizer while listing to music is the best.
If the music is fast:
-My thoughts speed up
-I feel like i can get something done quick
-Generally a faster feeling.
If the music is slow:
-Everything tends to slow down
-Even my thinking
I must say the most intense music i have heard was while i was watching WMP. It was Screwed & Chopped Mike Jones. HOLY CRAP! When i was listing to it, i was so anxious for the next screwed & chopped word to come out i was geeking out! Great time.

modest mouse, blind mellon, our lady peace, kottonmouth kings, fatboy slim, steve miller band, jefferson airplane/spaceship, led zepplin, pink floyd.... pretty any techno that has a repetitive beat... i feel repetitive beats induce the best cev's.... "tiny cities made of ashes" by modest mouse is a constant on my dxm playlist.

A lot of Chemical Bro's from their earlier albums make for a really nice intense rush if thats what you're in to. Anything with quality build ups peaking at the right moment does it for me.. Anything glitchy, IDM, minimal also works a treat..

so my favorite music to listen to during a beastly dxm session is NINE INCH NAILS with an assload of bass. its fun because the lyrics are really intense and the music beats wit the dxm really well.
i also like listening to MINDLESS SELF INDULGENCE. they're not very well know so i would suggest their songs whipstickagostop, and last night i tried to rock your world.
yayayayay!!!!
safe tripping!!!!
