The Wonderment of Hypnotherapy
Good day and seasons greetings to all. I was a new forum user but had to take a break. The less than healthy condition I was in mentally and physially was preventing me from useful input and conforming to the hard and fast rules. Anyway S.W.I.M.(an aquaintence) returned from a hypnotherapy session for depression and addiction concerns. He was gone a week and so far, things have improved and continue to do so. He could not completely step away from using somewhat regularly. (a few years ago the problem was huge, but he managed to cut down 90% on his own , but couldn't walk away totally on his own power). Well, since the hypnotherapy (10 hours over 4 days) His depression is much better. He has had many old situations and triggers to make him go the way of using, but his mindset has easily overcome each one. Only time can prove a total recovery but he and his family is optomistic. He would be glad to answer questions through me, and I will recieve and pass info with total regard for privacy at both ends.

Re: Hello again and the wonderment of Hypnotherapy
I don't know why no one ever replied to this back in 2007: hypnotherapy is something, SWIM would've thought, goes hand-in-hand with the spirituality side of drug use...
SWIM does agree that hypnotherapy can be fantastic. Truely remarkable how just telling your conscious to quieten down for a bit and let your unconscious listen to suggestions can have such a massive impact. I had it for anxiety issues and they were completely eradicated after 4 sessions - the first being just an assessment session! SWIM is looking into ways in which different chemicals and herbs might be able to deepen the hypnotic trance state and allow the unconscious to become even more susceptible to implanted suggestions, but so far with no luck. Here's the related thread: http://www.drugs-forum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=72054 |
