today (thurs) swim has an appointment with his doctor. swim will hopefully be getting another script for benzos. last month was his first script. he got 20 count .5mg clonazepam pills to last him around a month for panick attacks or just times of anxiety. swim is also on suboxone (buprenorphine). swim lost his medication and doesn't see his doctor for 3 weeks, so swim is going to try and come off buprenorphine altogether. btw, the withdrawals really are aweful. anyways swim is going to have to use his benzos every day for probably a week, two at most. swim is wondering if clonazepam is the best benzo for this. he notices he doesn't get as sleepy and detached as with other benzos, which is not a good thing in swims case. anyone else notice this with clonazepam? swim needs the best benzo for sedation/sleep/detachment. also some euphoria would be nice. is clonazepam the best? swim is thinking about diazepam. btw, swim takes about 1.5 - 2mg at a time of clonazepam to reach desired effects. swim is also still leaning towards longer acting benzos as swim doesn't need to dose as often and the doctor is probably more willing to perscribe those over short acting. anyways, what is the best benzo for swim? btw, swim is also ordering kratom to help the opioid withdrawal. any major drug interactions or things to worry about? swims appointment is around 1 o clock and any input greatly appreciated. thanks :)

oh yes also swim is thinking about his muscles too. clonazepam seems to relax them more then alprazolam. it could all be in swims head but alprazolam seems almost entirely mental while clonazepam seems to relax the muscles. basically swim is wondering if he should switch to an identical dose of diazepam during this opioid withdrawal. does diazepam relax muscles? should swim order some Somas to go with this?

well today swim went and saw his doctor and told him he took his last suboxone the other day. swim got 40ct .5mg clonazepam pills. it says to take 2 a day as needed for anxiety. his doctor knows he takes like 1.5mg at a time to get rid of his anxiety though so its all good. swim is just very greatful he got this. his docter even said to not feel worried about coming back if things are not going alright and that he understands. swim is very, very greatful to have a doctor like this.

Sounds like it sorted itself out lol. SWIM finds clonazepam definately helps more with the physical pain he gets from anxiety, than alprazolam does.

SWIM is on clonazepam and is really getting grogged down in the sedation. even after a swim months, people tell SWIM he's "out of it, looks messed up, drunk, etc." So SWIM is thinking about talking to his doctor about switching to a different benzodiazepine. They're all pretty much the same, and are more or less interchangeable. I guess for your query, it's simply a matter of taste. Personally, SWIM find clonazepam much more potent than diazepam. although, swim's experience with diazepam is more limited than clonazepam. If one doesn't work, though, try the other. Sometimes you can call the doc and tell them what's up, and might even switch you on the spot, with orders to "discontinue previous medication."

worth a shot, esp. if you're doc is so understanding.

swim has only had one experience with diazepam. it was like 3 years ago, hardly ever used any benzodiazepines, and doesn't remember what the dose was. but swim remembers it being really detached and sedating and hypnotic. swim finds none of these in clonazepam. swim is sure a lot of it is from tolerance, but does anyone else feel this way about clonazepam and valium? swim is seeing his doctor again and is still thinking about switching. oh yeah swim has been to detox a couple times and was given librium. this shit turned him into a zombie despite withdrawal. it really helped a lot and swim was even pretty messed up on it. swim thinks this zombie feeling is what he is looking for. as swim said, sleepy, sedating, detachment. anyone got advice? will librium (chlordiazepoxide) or valium (diazepam) do a better job of this than klonopin (clonazepam)? or are there any other benzos swim should look at for this? help much needed! thanks.

swim was just reading benzodiazepine equivelancys and noticed 50mg chlordiazepoxide (librium) is equal to 1mg clonazepam (klonopin). in detox swim is pretty sure the dose he recieved was 50mg twice daily of librium (does that dose sound right for detox center?). anyways swim got way, way, way more messed up off of what was probably 50mg librium than he would off 1mg clonazepam. 1mg clonazepam for swim does absolutely nothing. but the librium had him in a zombie state 24/7. can someone explain this? is this the way to go for swim? or as said above any suggestions? thanks.
