In the old days I used to use coke IV and to me this was the mother of all highs. I no longer do this and was wondering if anyone had any ideas for something that may be a replacement?

I know the closest thing i've found gfor a replacement for coke was Ritilan(sp) , I'd suggest not bangin it though, it has some kind of stuff in it that apparently is'nt very healthy for your veins.
Plus excessive usein my experience has made myselfparanoid or delusional .Edited by: dillydude
Try the ethnobatanicals. Kratom might do ya. This should really go in the coke section, though. I don't think it's opiates you are looking for.

Methamphetamine IV. That is all I can suggest.

Don't you think THAT suggestion is kind of going in
the other direction?
drugs to fix drugs yay. if you want a drug get it, dont look for another drug that is similar becasue you'll be dissapointed because you were expecting another type of high since you expected it to be like that other drug
HOLY FUCK!</font>
CLOSED TOPIC, as far as I'm concerned.

swim likes certain aspects of cocaine but really dislikes others. the cost, sinus problems, constant need for more, etc are really annoying. but, on the plus side, swim is pretty anti social and has problems opening up and communicating with others. yet, while using cocaine, he finds it so easy to enjoy the company of others and becomes a bit of a social butterfly... swim really doesn't think he's ever really been happy until trying cocaine for the first time about 6 weeks ago.
he's always been against anti depressants and the like, but, now, approaching middle age, he is starting to think maybe he should give them a try. are there any suggestions as to which ones he should perhaps give a try that would possibly give him these benefits? swim doesn't particularly care if they make him feel "high" or not, he just is tired of being such a social retard. would certainly be nice to have his insurance paying for it instead of himself.
he has been thinking of trying one of the ones that also helps with quitting smoking, but, not sure in this case that they'll also help with the other things. the smoking problem is secondary, though it might be easier to convince his physician to write the prescription if that were the primary reason.
hell, he's only tried E a couple times in his life and the effects that had on his psychological issues was amazing but the side effects of that were far worse than Coke.
thanks for any input you may have.
SWIY should do no other drugs but coke. In moderation (hehe) it's not that bad of a drug.

to swim thats probably not the best answer. if swiear knows that they havnt really been happy then antidepressants may be an okay option. they may totally change swiys life around. swim doesnt know this first hand but has heard many peoples stories, including swims parents, who it really helped. just remember, they too can be addicting and may be hard to come off of. but under a doctors supervision swiy should be fine. if swiy has had depression issius then swim thinks it is a great idea. why not at least give it a try? SSRIs are probably the best bet that seems to be what most anti depressants are and they seem to help people. swiy should just tell his doctor how he really feels. just don't show drug seeking behavior. anyways good luck.

I'm not a big fan of anti-depressants (better than dealing with problems with coke though), but I agree with you that coke can be very bad for some people. My serious answer is to quit drugs altogether and seek therapy with anti-depressants as a last resort.

Anti depressants are hardly better than coke, swim has seen ssri's turn people into unrecognizeable zombies.Stay away from these things unless they are a last resort.

That is until you get addicted, you no longer trust close friends or family and begin to isolate yourself. with gradual psychosis growing and cardiac arrest becoming more a possibilitie when the odd couple of lines no longer work the magic..
Dopamine being tickled by cocaine is very reinforcing. and now anti depressants are best avoided. not only can they turn people into zombies depending on type some can make people worse and suicidal. or the other side effects are quite an issue like sex, over weight..
sex on cocaine is nice to begin with while your not addicted, but trying making anything work down there when you are really into it.

anti-depressants really fucked with swim's head. was with a girl for 7 months, and the week swim stopped taking the meds, swim broke up with the girl (realizing the meds made him happy, not the girl)
also swim has been on just about every antidepressant out there (and swim is only 18 =S) and every single one of them gave swim mood swings, which were unpleasant. even one's like wellbutrin, that aren't really known to give mood swings, gave swim this problem.
swim hasn't been on them for nearly a year, (the time swim started using marijuana haha) but in this time, has become a big user of cocaine, and have also used stuff like ecstasy, acid, shrooms, salvia, DXM, nutmeg (rofl), diphenhydramine hydrochloride (benadryl), etc etc.. but despite all the drug use, swim can't really say he's ever been happier with life.
anti-depressants don't work for everyone, but they really are worth a try. swim is one in the few that has bad reactions too it. swim didn't mind them, just couldn't distinguish what was the med making swim happy, and what was in all actuality making swim happy.

This is a really bad warning sign, classic addiction thought patterns, be careful, I'd recommend anyone who made a statement like that to take a step back and seriously assess what they want out of life.
Antidepressants are a life-giving grace for me personally. Without them I am obsessed with suicidal thoughts, demotivated, irritable and quick to anger, and life on the whole feels like it is not worth living.
I have been on Prozac (made me itchy, deadened my emotions, occasionally opened up great pits of depression, sexual problems); venlafaxine (made me want to sleep 16-20 hours a day... needed provigil to stay awake more than 6 hours at a time, also sexual problems); and finally cymbalta (few side effects for me.... just the sexual stuff and some mild but tolerable gastric/digestive issues. oh and Cymbalta makes me eat a lot, almost as if it 'switches off' that feeling of being full- I can eat and eat and eat, which is not a bad thing for me since I am underweight).
Recently I've been struggling to afford my Cymbalta, which I've been on for 11 months, and I must say the withdrawal is horrific. Worse than the withdrawal, however, is the return of a deep depression and amotivation.
Antidepressants work for me, and I need them in order to be somewhat normal.

Glad they work, yet sometimes seeing a psychologist and someone who can work with CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) therapy might be more beneficial then taking unpredictable srrl based meds or the likes of prozac.
as theres often time of "do they work for me or not?" but they prescribe them anyway to see so while people put on weight and cant get it up or the other side effects. its good as u feel nice and content and free from symptoms when in reality a healthy diet can help if theses "meds" are there to make sure chemical imbalance is an issue. Then jus eat the things with a balanced diet that help rebuild theses like serotonin in the brain.
The CBT will help the mindset. its easy jus to take meds at the end of the day when the issue behind the discomfort are never resolved. Ironically they can say the same for drug-addicted people. fighting that problem only in mental health its considered medication.. funny life hey?
Agree 100% that seeing a psych helps- I do so once a week and hate missing a session. Added to this I make a point of exercising and eating healthy. Kicking my parrot's weed and cigarette smoking are the last of the lifestyle changes still to be made. And she really should stop popping whatever pills come his way... but other than that, me and my parrot have come a long way in the past year, and we are proud. Antidepressants, at the end of the day, are a major part of our recovery.
are a major part of our recovery.
well good luck, and a steady course to your recovery..

Swim has taken anti-depressants in the past (stoped when started using drugs) and they made her feel like every emotion was pretty much fake. Swim couldn't cry and when she laughed it didn't feel real, although they did help with self-harming..
The ones swim was on were zoloft.. personally swim doesnt recommend anti-depressants, but i suppose they could help with the mental crash, but swim hasnt use them for this purpose so she isnt quite sure.
also they tend to take ages to work anyway, they have to be taken for a couple of months before they start to a have an effect but that varies its still not instant.
