does this sound like benzo withdrawal?
SWIM was perscribed clonazepam (1.5mg 3 times per day) and quit about 3 weeks ago. well about a week and a half ago he started getting spells of light headedness and severe depression. does this sound like benzo withdrawl?

Re: does this sound like benzo withdrawl?
Yes it does, but the time lag is very odd. You didn't say how long SWIM was taking these for, or what they were prescribed to SWIM for. The symptomology could be a return of the condition they were prescribed for in the first place. In which case, a return to the doctor SWIM saw would be in order.

Re: does this sound like benzo withdrawl?
possibly. I would recommend getting kava. it helps with that and has a much less addictive personality. However, DO NOT mix this and benzos. There are cases of people becoming comatose even when they are not benzo nieve. good luck man! try kava!

Re: does this sound like benzo withdrawl?
If SWIY was going through benzo withdrawals he would certainly know about it. If SWIY is experiecing any of these symptoms, he should seek medical advice immediately and start doseage tapering. Do an internet search for Ashton Manual.

As Nag stated above the time lag doesn't really fit with benzo withdrawal, this would be felt within a day or two and is definitely not something that goes un-noticed. Maybe SWIY had minor withdrawal symptoms from stopping the clonazepam but didn't really notice them for a week or two. This is plausible. |
