xanax,k-pin, and valium addiction (alprazolam, clonazepam and diazepam)?

i had a problem with xanax, cant seem to stop takin pills at all, no matter what they are i think almost i may have developed an addiction just to takin pills(mentally obviously) but im curious if i was take a valium or klonopin i would have a relapse into xanax or just that whole shit again, mind u i dont really care about being drug free at all, i smoke weed every day and drink every other weekend say

If you started to take valium or klonopin I doubt it would cause you to relaspe into using xanax, since they are all very similar pills. If anything you'll probly just get hooked on one of the other ones instead. They are all in the same class of drugs. You would just be substituting one benzo for another. So why even make the change? If your trying to slow down your xanax use, taking other benzos isn't the way to do it.

hey, i was really addicted to xannies and tried to come off of them myself. I ended up having a seizure and a 2day hospital stay. DO NOT try to stop cold turkey, its the worst freaking feeling in the world. If you want to come off yourself, start tapering your dosage .25mg every 2 weeks. I know that sounds like it would take forever but thats the only safe way to come off xanax, by slowly tapering yourself off. Its hard if you are addicted, i know i've been there. you just love how they make you feel "normal" and you dont feel anxious about anything and everyting seems jsut fine, and that overwhelming feeling of contentment...... man there i go again glorifying that stuff....


also another thing, there are 3 things that can kill you from withdrawl...alcohol, Benzos, and barbituates...... so be safe


But back to getting off xanax, i had to go to an inpatient detox to safley get off, i was put on mood stabalizers, anti seizure drugs and also 3mg a day klonopin. do some research on safley discontuning xanax, i beleive there is an article by a doctor who explains it more thouroughly. good luck with getting off its hell, but you dont want to be a xannie zombie forever.

Its cool if you dont want to get off drugs all together, i havent, but xanax is one of the most addicting substances out there, maybe try another Drug of Choice..... just from my experience

oh believe me, i dont do xanax anymore, cecil i went through the exact same shit, i stopped it cold turkey. it was 4 days of no sleep and violently throwing up. i went to the hospital on the fourth day to get anti-nausea pills and they gave me too much and i guess it was an o.d. sorta, i had a dystonic(spelling) muslce reaction, all my muscles just started tightning up without my control anf this went on for hours till i went back to the hospital, and the whole time i didnt tell anybody that all this was because i stopped takin the pills haha until like the end, and the the doctor did say u could die from stoppin xanax cold turkey. thats a pill i dont get is legal when weed isnt.

Hi, you might want to research this site http://www.benzo.org.uk/ It is a anti-benzo site but gives good information about addiction, withrawal and such. Going cold turkey on Benzo's is f'ing horrible from what I've read, you need to taper down correctly.
