boyfriends addiction

hi i was just curious my boyfriend has a OxyC addiction. he was up to about 6 a day but hes trying to stop he wants to really bad supoposedly. I know along with addiction comes lies and theres no going around that but im noping that hes not lieing anymore unfortunately i dont trust him since i caught him and thers been lots of little lies in our relationship which sucks cause its different coming clean or being caught and forced to come clean. he says hes down to one a day and it seems too easy but i dont want to be motherly about it and keep nagging. i guess what my question is that what are signs i can look for to clue me in? i really dont know much about opiates because i never liked them. i just want to know because im putting my all into helping him and expect it back i really love him more than anything. also what are spoe other things i coulddo to help him out? thanks!

Did you just ever just sit down and talk to him? Sometimes that's what we want out of our partner. My girlfriend gave up finally even though I told her I had a problem.....Try not to give up on him so fast, it sucks trying to quit when you're alone...Okay??


If he's anything like me...He would just come out and say it. "I'm addicted to......blank......" If not, does he steal from you, to buy drugs? Does he lie about where he's been? When you do see him, is he intoxicated?


The best thing to do is just to talk. Just ask him....Ask him if he's addicted or if he needs help...If you have a trusting relationship, he'll tell you.

You can be there for him and try to help him in every way possible if he is completely honest with you. If not, you have GOT to hit the road and let the addiction take its course. If you hang around you are only going to be drug through the mud by lies and pain, and possible theft. If he is serious about stopping, you will know it. He probably won't be able to stop cold turkey immediately; there will probably be some setbacks where he uses, but the key is honesty. I wish you both the best of luck.
