Concerta or Ritalin? How to take it?

So swim has been wondering whether swim should use concerta or ritalin if swim wants to take a 'trip'. Swim has 27mg (stamped with alza 27) concerta, and 5mg pills of ritalin.

Swim has been on perscription for concerta/ritalin for about a year, taking 1 concerta daily during school, Swim is unsure how this regular use for school purposes will effect Swim's tolerance.

Swim has never used concerta/ritalin to get a trip before, so swim wonders how swim should go about it. Swim has read much here and seen that concerta seems more difficult to use. So, swim wonders which should swim use for a first time and how much of it?

So if SWIM has 5mg pills would SWIY think it be better to parachute them (this is just putting the powder in toilet paper and swallowing it i think?) or snort. SWIM read somewhere here that the filler of 5mg is bad

tripple posting... sorry... SWIM took 40mg parachuting... it did nothing, then snorted 10mg though had never snorted anything before so accidently blew some away and prolly snorted it all wrong... definatly feeling something now

by the way, tooting concerta sucks. it takes too long to break it down, it makes your nose all gooey and the effects are a bit unsettling. there is a head rush for an hour but it is not euphoric and then it sort of gives out after 3 or 4.

I was just wondering.. if you crush the alza and snort themm whould it give the same affect at a ciba 16 ritalin???????

The main chemical in ritalin and Concerta is a amphetamine and is not a trip at all but a speed effect ritalin more than concerta concerta is designed to be time released so it is slow reaction.

Didnt realize this thread would still be alive but thought I'd check back in.

Firstly, SWIM is not dead, SWIM is fine and snorted 50mg 50 mins ago and then let 30mg dissolve under SWIMs tounge a few mins ago. SWIM got upgraded to the 10mg pills instead of 5mg so the drip/burn SWIM felt the first time SWIM snorted 40mg is alot lower. The high is nice, not as long as weed (the other drug SWIM uses) but easier to accomplish.

Parachuting still did nothing though.

that's actually not all true, the chemical in ritalin and concerta is methylphenidate-- amphetamine on the other hand (in varying isomers) is found in dexadrine and adderall
