swim mite be coming in contact with 30mg ms contin soon, swim has only had them 1 once before, took it orally and felt very little, swim is thinking of rectal administration, swim has almost no opiate tolerance, and is wondering how much should be administered, also these pills have a purple coating and because swim is not familiar with them swim would like instructions on the least wasteful way of removing the coating.

If I'm not mistaken brand name MS Contins have the same outer layer as brand name OxyContins, and those can be easely wiped or scraped of. 30mg morphine would be a good beginners dose, though SWIM dis advices though take a higher dose, 30mg rectally would be equal to a same dose I.M.

I think I read on a thread that someone's doctor told them that the coating on MS Contin that people scrape off before snorting and such actually has 7mg of morphine in it.

so technically after some1 scraped off the coating they could then, chew up the bits of coating or something of that sort?

Yes, bucal administration would work well, and the crushed pills can be snorted, for fast onset, this way nothing will be lost.
