Dose - SWIM just took 2 1mg Xanax (Alprazolam) tablets... should he be worried?

Been on Lorazapam for about a week now... Didn't notice any real effect (other than reduced anxiety). SWIM went to the doctor today and got a script for Xanax (1mg tabs / scored) and took 2. First time on xanax... Should he be worried about side effects? Think he may have taken too much? SWIM is a paranoid person in the first place so this mind may just be racing because he's not sure about dosages; what's safe and what isn't.

Anyone have some advice? SWIM has no desire to mix alcohol or any other drugs with his Xanax. He did take a lorazapam about 6-8 hours before downing the 2 xanax 1mg tabs (one taken an hour after the first).

Quick replies would be greatly appreciated.

2Mg is not a huge dose, esp. if you have been taking Lorazapam for a week, which means you will have a small tolerance to it. If anything you may get really tired and fall asleep. SWIM took a 2mg bar once after not taking Benzos for a few mouths, he felt super relaxed and tired but that’s about it.

2mg is my normal dose. That's why they make 2mg tablets. No reason to worry - for God's sake it's an anxiolytic so once you've taken it you won't have any worries anyway!

2mg Alprazolam is roughly equivalent to 40mg diazepam. For someone who does not have a tolerance to benzodiazepines this CANNOT be recommended, and would likely result in excessive sedation and amnesia.
