Argument for snorting benzos

Most benzos are not soluble in water. This guy argues that insufflation and intranasal drug use is based on lipid solubility rather than water solubility:

It may well work, especially if you are a canary, but most people only have access to benzos in pill form so they would have to snort filler as well.

Intranasal sedative drug administration is an acceptable alternative method of drug delivery in canaries.:)

To each there own my friend. SWIM has never liked snorting pills. Nice read though, thanks for the link.

Unfortunately, several of the arguments are meaningless, because the research referred to specifically states that it was the parenteral (IV or IM) formula of benzodiazepine that was used for intranasal administration.

Parenteral benzos are formulated to get over the water insolubility of the parent drug (emulsions of diazepam with propylene glycol for example).

Snorting pills would not have the same effect.

Only water soluble benzodiazepines are worth snorting, like midazolam, flurazepam, flunitrazepam and oxazepam hemihydrate
