wrong forum? i'm an alcoholic/benzo addict seeking help.

Hi! :)
Looking at some of the posts on here i'm wondering if i've registered to a forum that has totally diffrent principals then i thought it had.
basically i'm an alcoholic :beer and a benzodiazipine addcit(< . i registered on here thinking to find other recovering addicts. but having read a few posts i've got the impression that this is a forum that "promotes", for lack of a better word, substance use.
Am i in the wrong place? :confused: I wanna get clean! :eek:

Yes, I certainly wouldn't use the term promotes. More like understands.

Perhaps on the outset there does seem to be more of a focus of use rather than de-use but then it IS a drug forum not an drug addict forum

As heretic.ape helpfuly added you will have some good help im sure from the addict/recovory section. I think here you will have the ability to talk to people who can relate to your illness there are many great members here who have been (or perhaps still are) where you are. Introduce yourself read a bit ask some questions and we'll support/help you as much as we can. ;)

This is the right forum really,many people here have experienced problems with addiction.No self righteous hypocrites or judgemental pricks here.Just people that tell the truth and understand for the most part.The addiction and recovery section will probably have some good information on it for swiy and swiy could also ask questions in the benzodiazepine or alcohol section and get some helpful information aswell.

Not sure why anyone would think df "promotes"substance use?It is just a site that tells the truth.It isn't pro or anti substance use it simply gives people the information to make up their own minds.
