View Full Version : Experiences - Midazolam Experiences
SWIM tried the blue 15 mg from Roche shitloads of times.
This is by far the most strong benzo SWIM ever tried and SWIM tried A LOT !
30 mg hits you like a train within a few minutes.
Very good sleeping pill, but can be used recreational in a lower dose.
So Oggy, don't know what's wrong with you, because SWIM knows quit a few people that got knocked out at even a lower dose then 30 mg. ;-)
Swim just had 20 7,5mg roche all at once and didn't feel much judt a litle nod here and there but that was it.
Swim just had 20 7,5mg roche all at once and didn't feel much judt a litle nod here and there but that was it.
Even with a high tolerance to benzo's (up to 12 mg of ativan, 60 mg Diazepam or 150 mg Oxazepam,....) SWM gets knocked out at even 30 mg Versed :-s.
Wierd..
Swim says it wasn't that great a high. Took a long long time to come on and just put him to sleep.
Versed is mostly used for operations, as an anesthetic and are rarely prescribed by any doc or psych for sleeping disorder because of the nasty withdrawl effects it causes, even after a week.
SWIM used them once for about 10 days in row and got withdrawl symptomes during the day.
So be carefull with this one, it's not like most other benzo's.
Way too strong and I would not recommed using them recreationally, because they are VERY addictive and withdrawl symptones you get are real nasty and are surfacing even after using them for a short period.
Much stronger then Valium or Xanax, hits you after 10 minutes.
The feeling reminds Swim a bit like Ativan (Lorazepam), but much stronger.
SWIM saw people (with no tolerance to benzo's) get knocked out at 7.5 MG and couldn't remember a damn thing. (typical to benzo's...)
A tolerance is build up very quickly, much faster then any other benzo out there.
They come in 7.5 mg and 15 mg pills, from ROCHE, at least the ones Swim has...
The effects don't last that long.. About 2 - 3.5 HRS, at least in SWIM's experience..

Well ,SWIM tried them for the first time and had eaten too many for one weekend. At first they did nothing for SWIMS anxiety ,but after the second dose all SWIMS anxiety was gone and reminded SWIM of a mixture of xanax and quaalude.SWIM loves to nod and the dormicum did it.

Midazolam, which is marketed under the brand names Versed, Hypnovel, and Dormicum, is a short-acting benzodiazepine derivative. In the US, it is only used in hospital settings, usually as a pre-surgery anesthetic. It is considered to be very addictive, due to it's short half-life and high affinity to BZP receptors in the brain. Unlike other benzodiazepines, like diazepam, midazolam is water-soluble (1). It has an oral bioavailability of just under 40% (2) and an intramuscular bioavailability of 90% or greater (3).
I recently had knee surgery to re-attach a bone that broke from my femur. I recieved midazolam intraveinously right before I was knocked out. The anesthieologist didn't tell me she gave me anything but I felt a flood of relaxation similar to that of alprazolam, only stronger. I asked her if she gave me anything and she said "Versed". Has anyone else had any experiences with midazolam? I know that outside the US midazolam comes in pill form. I wonder if oral consumption is intense.

Just the night after posting SWIMs post in this thread he had one of his most lucid dreams he could still recall the next morning ever.
SWIM took 7,5mg Midazolam(Dormicum/Versed) and although it's renowned for producing the strongest amterograde amnesia, SWIM could recall everything in sharp details this morning, although he has forgotten most of it now, but that's due to SWIMs ADD.
SWIM took a few glasses of wine, 2 or 3 he thinks, and for the rest nothing else that could probaply have created the lucid dreams.
SWIM is still thinking about how he woke up this morning, after having one of his best dreams in his life.
Though it wasn't a dream in which he experienced something very nice, it's just that it was such a lively dream, like recalling something he did the day before, not like dreaming about.
She has a single experience of iv benzo's (midazolam, pharmaceutical vial).
She had a trusted sitter and the dose was titrated carefully. She was benzo naive at the time and used approx 1mg every 5 mins until 6mg were reached: At this point she was euphoric, sedated and having hallucinations. She felt very sexual. Her sitter (female) reports that she was rather "frisky" also;)
The entire experience lasted approx 45 mins, with about an hour of grogginess after and a headache shortly after that. A degree of amnesia was present, but she retained the flavour of her experience. Overall it is not something she would repeat."
SWIJ would like to append, that this is, with hindsight, one of the most reckless and dangerous things she has ever done. She had no access to flumazenil (benzo antidote), and, for a benzo naive user the dose was high, carrying a high potential risk of respiratory depression.
*She does NOT recommend or advocate such use of benzodiazepines*

SWIM experienced NO effects from 10 mg midazolam hydrochloride.
